GC SCHOW
Artist, designer, illustrator – each of these describes ImageWerks co-founder GC Schow. His work relationships over the years have included art director for Hewlett Packard and leading graphic departments that work with the US Government (i.e., Department of Justice). He is currently Art Director & partner at ImageWerks. He follows a simple strategy for his art – “to be the as good as I can with my passion”.
GC’s preferred style of painting is watercolor, but has found a love in digital painting/illustration. He calls his new style digital mixed-media. Working from photographs that catch his eye and passion, he then creates a one-of-a-kind acrylic canvas or watercolor.
His artwork has won numerous awards and his illustrations have graced numerous publications. In addition to exhibiting at local galleries, many of GC’s paintings are in private collections.
Originally from Ogden, Utah GC spent most of his life in the west (California, the Southwest [Utah, Arizona, Colorado] and Pacific Northwest [Spokane, WA]). He has a great love of history, travel, nature and the great outdoors. You will see all of these elements influence his paintings and illustrations.
