Photo Restoration: keychain photo to print!
08/19/2019Commissioned Paintings to Remember a Loved One
10/04/2019This past spring we were given the opportunity to create a custom mural for the new education building for Covenant United Methodist Church in Greer, SC. This mural honored a very special young lady from their congregation—she unfortunately passed away due to childhood cancer. Knowing this young lady’s background & her love for her church family was special enough—but, it wasn’t just that, Bella loved giving back to her community as well.
We wanted to create something special for them… they didn’t want an actual painting—but a digital piece that would stand out on a wall in the new building. Unfortunately Kathy never had the opportunity to meet Bella to take photos of her, nor did she have other photos of the locations they wanted in it. So, she was given the next best option… cellphone photos! (ugh!). But, not one to turn down a challenge—Kathy stepped up & said, “SURE—we can paint that for you!” The requested dimension of the mural was 120″H x 76″W… and needless to say this project pushed Kathy’s Photoshop knowledge as well as her computer’s processing power!
We thought we would share all the “parts & pieces” used to create the painted mural, including the final mural on the wall (as supplied to us by the church). We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out (our client too said everyone loves the mural!). If you are interested in a custom mural—either painted by hand or digitally painted for your business or home, CALL US or send a message through our “Get in Touch” page.
